To this end, there is now a <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Frontinus Award<\/mark><\/strong>, which will be open for applications for the first time in 2027, and the opportunity to apply for a<strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\"> Frontinus Scholarship<\/mark><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Frontinus Award is presented annually. It recognizes Bachelor\u2019s and Master\u2019s theses as well as doctoral dissertations dealing with the history of water, energy, and pipeline technology. The prize amount depends on the type of work:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s thesis: 500 \u20ac<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Master\u2019s thesis: 1.000 \u20ac<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dissertation: 2.000 \u20ac<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to the prize money, the presentation of the Frontinus Award entails\u2014alongside the public recognition of the recipient and the winning work \u2013 a complimentary membership in the Frontinus Society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, Early-career researchers and students may apply for a Frontinus Scholarship to support their work if the completion of a term paper, a dissertation or field research requires specific financial expenditure that cannot be covered by other means.
