Silvia González Soutelo about her lecture

Among the many hydraulic infrastructures from the Roman period present on the Iberian Peninsula, in this talk we would like to highlight the presence of a series of buildings constructed for the exploitation and use of mineral-medicinal waters.

Based on the long tradition in the study of ancient thermalism in the Iberian Peninsula, and the research carried out in recent years within the project healing spas in Antiquity and the current national project THERMASCAPE (PID2022-138809NB-I00) to understand these thermal buildings within its territory, we will present a brief approximation of the current state of these establishments, as well as the lines of work that are being carried out within this project, with a clear interest in its application on an international scale.
