„Only those who know the past, have a future.“
Wilhelm von Humboldt
Access to water and energy is critical for the survival of all societies. It is therefore important to preserve, further and promote the knowledge about how this has been supplied historically, including the use of piping technology.
The Frontinus-Society supports relevant research, passes on knowledge about the history of water, energy and piping technology, and promotes young scholars working in this field of technological history. Additionally, it offers information and knowledge on these subjects to anyone who is interested.
The Frontinus Society has a broad international network of knowledge holders, experts and people interested in water history. Our members come from a total of 19 countries, from Australia to Canada.
